its like living in an air conditioned room everyday these few days. but the temperature's so unstable, sometimes very cold, sometimes warm (sometimes when we touch). been wanting to blog so badly cause the things to blog about has been piling up, but somehow time always slip by me so fast!
honeymoon first week's over in a blink of eye. kinda settled in my new apartment now, and for the last time, i love staying in the city! :) one small hiccup in our experience with the new apartment though - choked kitchen sink. horrible stuff, couldnt use the kitchen sink for days and the water's stuck in the sink for days as well. plumber came this morning and fixed everything within like 20mins or so? never love plumbers more for their magic hands. :)
bought new havainas at the summer clearance sale last week with 40% off, so it costs like only $18?! :D was so happy after i made the purchase. ohh i bought a cute apple clip on as well! aint they cute together? heees.

had a belated birthday celebration dinner for mic last wednesday at
Yar Restaurant, a korean and japanese buffet restaurant. the following night, we made our way to St Kilda's night market after school, it was okay (maa maa (okay, alright in jap haaa)). there were many small cute stalls, music (live band playing country music), crowds, spontaneous audience dancing with the music, food and a secretive lemonade stall (cause the owner didnt allow me to take photo of the stall! :( ). love this photo taken at the tram stop haha.

and val dear bought her Baby Geek specs for our housewarming party this coming friday! sneak preview of her dress code before friday.

met up with the year two peeps on friday night to catch up (we have no classes together since we're doing different majors now!) had dinner, then some after dinner drinks and hang out in our new house till bout 12plus. everyone likes our new apartment very much! :) and looks like its gonna be the new hanging out place very soon. haaa. (i super dun mind the idea)

check out mic stealing cake for supper at night! hahaha.

DA SHAO CHU, cleaned the entire house on saturday after finally getting a vacuum cleaner. did the week's worth of laundry, cleaned the toilet, tidy up the house and stuff. was preparing for brunch when the hailstorm happened. haha. super funny.
SETTINGthe sky looked very ominous with heavy and dark clouds passing very quickly that noon. i was spreading butter making egg mayo sandwich with mic sitting opp me. it started raining then and we thought, okayy, rain. i love rainy days.
then the rain's splattering sound sounded very wrong. its like a million rocks dropping on your roof, your windows and on the ground. we went to the windows to check out what's going on and realised omg its raining hails. luckily we were at home and i totally started a live commentary of the storm on FB. took photos of the whole storm as well.
the start of the storm looked like this. hails on our balcony. and after awhile our balcony started to flood, at the same time paper bags of unknown origins started flying into our balcony. i thought our windows and balcony door might just shatter from the force of the storm and hails. and then we thought maybe 2012 is just gonna happen.

check out the view from my room and the living room when the storm is at its full force. i see the need to show the normal view from my room without the storm too.

then when the view cleared abit, we looked out the window to find a flooded Elizabeth St below us! goshh and the poor pedestrains were all trapped under the inadequate shelter outside the shops. after that we learnt that most shops, restaurants and even banks were flooded. we could see restaurants sweeping water out when the storm ended. and our internet connection was cut off shortly after the storm. -.-

that's about it for the storm part. went grocery shopping and used our kitchen for the first time on sunday to prepare dinner. invited mingyang, mic's ex neighbour over for dinner as well. the night was quite fun cause he blasted his ipod and we totally made up a mini kbox session with it. haaa. and i made a photo board that night for my room, using those photos i developed in singapore. after much thought, i decided to place the board on top of my bed, so its like the main highlight everytime i enter the room. :)

went to school on monday morning and my friendly neighbours told me in the lift that there's moomba festival at 11am on Swanston St. it was suppose to be over the weekend but i guess the storm caused everything to be postponed. i think i'll upload the photos on FB this post's taking too long. neways on my way to school, snapped some photos of the performers of the moomba festival. quite cool.
then while skyping with kel at night, i was totally surprised and taken aback cause i heard some loud crack, looked up, and saw fireworks exploding in front of me! i was like OMG its the fireworks from the Moombo Festival! and we get to see it from our apartment, its like staying near marina/esplanade in singapore. fireworks are indeed a public good and we third parties gain positive externality out of it. is that right? hahaha. econs.
our dinner yesterday night - red wine, garlic and onion chicken, brocolli and soup. after dinner, yang surprised both mic and i by showing up at our place with his ai xin dessert haha.

kitchen close shop tonight, went out for dinner at
J Cafe, this place that sells very awesome sushi burger and curry rice (coming from someone who dun like Jap Curry Rice). shopped for our housewarming party this coming friday after dinner.

okayy week 2 of school, がんばってね! :)
