this post is dedicated to a special friend...
i have been hanging out alot with huiping (aka kelsey her new name haha) recently. like really alot, for example i just saw her yesterday and im meeting her again tomorrow. really enjoy her company, like you feel totally free and unrestrain, to be able to be who i am, for she don't judge. i can just do act say whatever i like and know she won't be judging my actions or habouring any bad thoughts about me. also because of that she's seen the most unglam side of me, goodness when i say most unglam that really means most (you know the meaning of most? nothing exceeds most). and i shall not elaborate on that.
im really glad to have her back in my life once again (for we lost contact for a few years in between) haha this crazy girl never fail to make me laugh, with her endless grandmother stories to tell.
thank you lah1 pings, for you just being you. :)
HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY in advance and sorry for not being able to be here with you on your birthday. (though i know you'll never read this hee)

back under the sun
okay i have a very very very very strong urge to blog right now although its 2.20am. despite me telling myself to sleep early, to tune back to the normal lifestyle of sleeping at most by 2am and waking up at most by 12pm. i am still not heeding me.
deadly unlimited internet. i guess i am appreciating it too much, treasuring it too much, utilising it too much. feels really good to bump around facebook opening any random albums i feel like flipping through without worrying about how much megabytes it will take up, entering any blogs i feel like reading without having to click on the stop button immediately to prevent photos or songs being downloaded without my knowledge.
best of all to be sitting on the not-very-comfortable-ikea-green-chair (which is sitting in my very-cosy-and-comfortable-lavender-bedroom, which is in my not-very-neat-but-good-enough-house, which is in the more-and-more-hip-yishun and the list goes ons) surfing the net and typing this entry. 31 days back home and i am still happy and glad to be back. i guess i'll always be happy and contented for as long as i stay here.
you lose things so you appreciate when you get them back.
and right now i am enjoying and treasuring every moment i have on this island for i know i will have to leave again soon.
I LOVE ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY on this island. and am glad nothing's changed, the friendship, the bonds and the chemistry we share. perhaps the only change - everybody aged a little, matured a little, gained more experience a little.
met up with many people in the last 31 days, and almost finish meeting most friends whom i needa and wanta meet, with a few exceptions like RICH, and some other odacers.
talk about odacers, i am really proud of us. (despite the failed gathering which only 6 people attended) met up with xiu, cheryl and eeling for mahjong today (new mahjong khakis :)) and after that went dinner with eeling. guess who we saw in northpoint hub, its mel and val! mello wello jello hello and valli vallo valla vallin (violin?)!
yes. the reason i say i am proud of us is despite one and a half year after graduating from odac, the bonds we formed through that other one and a half year are still there. gatherings are always hard to organise, especially for a big group of 24 people with different schedules and timetables (since school's starting). the thing that warms my heart is seeing everyone taking time out of their busy lives, to stop by and catch up with one another, individually or in small groups. and the ability of us to talk and laugh like we always do in any odac activities or meetings or outings we use to have.
mel and val's 3H (?) dinner proved that point (or are they just plain talkative and mean? to see the queue outside the HK cafe gets longer but still making use of that bowl of half eaten and unwanted zhi ma hu to continue sitting in their seats)
and standing in the middle of the way into the bus interchange, oblivious to the fact that we may be obstructing the way of other passer-bys, talking out of nothingness but still enjoying the conversation. "er kim wee, every syllabus can be a surname" and start giving permutations to the name. kim wee er, er wee kim, kim er wee, wee kim er and so on. (no offence boss we were just missing you haha) and i wonder how our conversation drifted to murai and pekakak hut! in our haste to recalling more of ubin huts' name, peranakan hut and belachan hut sprang out. (what nonsense!) the little nyonya's fault alright. haha had a good time laughing.
and the new year party with humdingers was really good. it feels like we've reach a point in our friendship that goes beyond friends, its like family. we grumble and complain about each other, joke, laugh, be joked at, be laughed at, talk, share, care (okay this is getting cheesy, like cheese fries) but at the end of everything, you know they are the people who will accompany you through another infinite years of your life. this feels like its time a full group photo shows up, but ah wells, its 3.30am now. heee lazieee. and thanks UHU for the satays btw. and wii. you must be waiting for your name to appear, and waiting for my post, NAH give you one whole long post, read until your eyes pop out. :P
and all other meetups i've had within the last 31 days which are too long to blog about individually, you know i enjoyed and treasured those meetups.
all in all nice to be able to bum around back home, under the sun (in town, along singapore river and not yarra river) and buzz around madam boh. :D for those concern, madam boh is working in my dad's company now and especially for val, bala is good, haha you and your bala's mess tin hahaha. and torchlight. :D
p.s this is a very rare long post which i myself am shock that i actually typed all of those out. okay think it requires extraordinary feel and urge which i duno when i'll have again. :)

welcome into year 2009!
i've been wondering if i should start this post by a "Happy New Year", but yet stopped at the thought. we are only one day (and 40mins to be exact) into the new year and how would i know how the new year had been going for everybody so far. mhmm whatever that is not the main point of this post.
29 days, i've been back home for 29 days. :) the clock seems to tick a few minutes faster once i'm back and after a few days i felt like i've never left this place at all. i'm back to the old me, old lifestyle i'm so comfortable and familiar with, and start taking everything for granted once again. no i'll have to slow down my pace and start thinking about the past 4 and a half months i've been through last year. recall every bits of feelings i so recently felt before coming home. i must not and will not waste my holidays away.
appreciate and be thankful!
